Sometime back, we bought a laptop cooling pad as our laptop was heating up somewhat. We also needed certain elevation for our laptop through the cooling stand so that we can use an extended keyboard rather than the laptop keyboard. We have been using this Targus Laptop Cooling Stand for nearly a year. In our experience, it is quite comfortable, convenient, light weight and performs well. The stand is stylish and a perfect companion for laptops. Apart from that, its height adjustability and elevation upto 4 inches is a boon when you use an extended keyboard. If you are into intensive usage of your laptop, then the dual fans cooling solution and the USB hub are quite useful and meet your requirements.
Some of the laptop stands we used had a problem with holding the laptops in place. However, this stand is designed well and holds the laptop firmly in place even when it is in elevation through the rubber pads and bottom ledge. It is an additional advantage that this product can indeed support laptops upto 17 inches size. This was not always the case with other competitor products. The velcro straps are another bonus - they are located at the back of the stand and ensure that peripheral cables are neatly tied in and arranged without hanging all around the place. Net net, the Targus stand is of sturdy and durable construction and comes with a 1-year warranty. It has not disappointed us with its many features and performance. We did check few other competitor products and usually noticed that they had some of the features missing or identified features did not always work well as advertised.
With this product, you can be assured that your productivity would be higher than without it. Working on the laptop keyboard can be cumbersome for people like us and slows us down but this stand provides an option to elevate your laptop and add an extended keyboard plus mouse that can be used to type faster, accurately and comfortably.
